SMU Men’s Basketball falls at home to Tulsa.

DALLAS (AP) – Jordan Clarkson scored 17 points, shooting 6 for 9 from the field, to lead Tulsa past SMU 74-66 on Saturday.

The Golden Hurricane (15-11, 8-4 Conference USA) led most of the way but went ahead for good early in the second half on a free throw by Steven Idlet. They led by as many as 13 points after that. SMU cut the lead to 64-61 with 3:03 to play.

Justin Hurtt added 14 points, Kodi Maduka 12 and Bryson Pope 11 as the Hurricane cruised to their fifth win in the last six games.

Robert Nyakundi, who made 5 of 7 shots from 3-point range, finished with a game-high 22 points for the Mustangs (16-10, 7-5).

Papa Dia scored 18 points and Mike Walker added 10 as SMU ended its three-game home winning streak.
