SMU returns to Moody Coliseum Friday, hosting Tulane at 7 p.m. before taking on UTEP Sunday at 1 p.m. Fans who like the SMU Volleyball Facebook page can print a coupon for free admission to the match on Friday against the Green Wave. The Mustangs completed a four-match road trip with a weekend sweep at UCF and Southern Miss, earning two of the three weekly Conference USA awards.

Caroline Young leads the team and ranks 10th in C-USA, averaging 3.27 kills per set, and recorded a career-high 26 kills Friday at UCF to earn her second C-USA Offensive Player of the Week award. Olivia Bailey notched a season-high 53 assists in the match. She averaged 12.14 per set for the weekend to earn her first Player of the Week award. Courtney Manning had nine blocks in the two matches to set the SMU career blocks record with 535, and is now tied for third in C-USA history.

Tulane enters the match 4-14 overall, losing six of its last seven matches, and has a 2-5 C-USA record. Cori Martone leads the team and is sixth in the conference with 3.76 kills per set. Olivia Utt is in the top-10 in the conference in blocks, with 72 total blocks this season.

UTEP is fourth in the conference with a 5-2 record, just a match out of first place, and the Miners are 11-8 overall. Jeane Horton leads the team and is second in the league with 4.43 kills per set, scoring 301 on the year. Xitlali Herrera is also in the top-15, scoring 3.06 kills per set. Malia Patterson is second in assists with 10.90 per set, and Cassandra Burruel is third in the league with 1.25 blocks per set. The Miners have won seven of their last eight matches.
