SMU’s Oliver Named C-USA Offensive Player Of The Week

IRVING, Texas (SMU) – Senior Jessica Oliver was named Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week after leading SMU to its second win of the season over regular season champion Tulsa, 3-2 in Moody Coliseum Saturday.

Oliver scored 17 kills in the match to finish with a team-leading 381 kills for the season. She also had four blocks as the Mustangs completed the first season-sweep against the Golden Hurricane since 2003.

The Plano, Texas native finished her career with 1,060 kills, ranking 10th in SMU history, and is fifth all-time at SMU with 435 blocks. For Oliver, this is the first Offensive Player of the Week award of her career.
