TCU Sends 14 To NFL

FORT WORTH, Texas — Fourteen players from TCU’s 2017 team are headed to the NFL.The Horned Frogs had three draft picks, while 11 players signed free-agent contracts.

Offensive tackle Joseph Noteboom and linebacker Travin Howard were taken in the third and seventh rounds, respectively, by the Los Angeles Rams. Offensive guard/tackle Matt Pryor was selected in the sixth round by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Howard and Noteboom became the first pair of Horned Frogs to be drafted by the same team in the same year since 2011, when the New England Patriots selected offensive tackle Marcus Cannon and cornerback Malcolm Williams.

The Horned Frogs have 35 players active in the NFL. TCU head coach Gary Patterson has had 45 players drafted with a total of 114 in NFL camps in 17 seasons. ESPN.com has previously ranked TCU No. 1 in the nation for developing NFL talent.
