Texas Legends 2026-27 Season Schedule Announced

Frisco, TX – The Texas Legends, NBA G League affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks, released their season schedule today. The 50-game season includes marquee matchups, themed jersey nights, and community events.

The Texas Legends will open the season south of the border, as they head to Mexico City to face the Capitanes on Sunday, November 8th at 6:30 p.m.

The team’s home opener will take place on November 13th at 7 p.m. when the Rio Grande Valley Vipers come into town.

As a tribute to Veterans Day, the game will serve as military night, where veterans and servicemen will be honored throughout the evening.

The Legends will host a game on Martin Luther King Jr. Day for the third consecutive season as the Oklahoma City Blue will pay them a visit on Monday, January 18th at 3 p.m.

Other holiday matchups include welcoming back the OKC Blue on Monday, February 15th for Presidents’ Day, and a St. Patrick’s Day clash on Tuesday, March 17th as they host the Stockton Kings.

Broadcast information for all 50 games will be released at a later date.

Season Format

The 2026-27 NBA G League season tips off on Friday, Nov. 6. The NBA G League schedule is divided into two parts, with each team playing 14 games in the Tip-Off Tournament followed by a 36-game regular season. All 31 NBA G League teams will play at least 50 games during the 2026-27 season.

The Tip-Off Tournament begins on Nov. 6 and culminates when a champion is crowned during the 2026 NBA G League Winter Showcase in December.

In the Tip-Off Tournament, teams are divided into four regional groups and will play 14 games exclusively against each other. The four teams with the best winning percentage in each region, followed by the next four teams with the best winning percentage regardless of region advance to compete for the Championship at the NBA G League Winter Showcase. Each team will play at least two games at the showcase.

Following the Tip-Off Tournament, team records reset before the start of the 36-game regular season. At the conclusion of the regular season, the top eight teams in each conference will qualify for the NBA G League Playoffs, which conclude with the NBA G League Finals in April 2027.
