Beltre leads Rangers Past Indians

The Texas Rangers took the second game of the series against Cleveland 5-2 Wednesday night at the Ballpark in Arlington.

Three of the first four batters for Texas got hits, capped by a 2-run home run from Adrian Beltre.  It is the 32nd homer for Beltre, his 13th in the last 20 games.

Texas also benefitted from a solo home run by Josh Hamilton in the 3rd inning, his 41st of the year.

Rangers starting pitcher Ryan Dempster won his 5th straight, moving his record to 11-6.  Dempster went 7 innings, allowing 2 runs while striking out 8.

Joe Nathan earned his 33rd save, striking out 2 in the 9th inning.

Texas remains 3 games ahead of Oakland in the AL West.  Their magic number is 18. 

The Rangers and Indians close out the series tonight in Arlington.  Derek Holland will take the mound for the Rangers.
