Rangers Face Giant Challenge

The Texas Rangers find themselves down 3 games to 1 in the best of 7 fall classic.  With a 4-0 home loss to the San Francisco Giants, the Rangers are on the brink of elimination.

Texas was shut out in front of the home crowd of almost 52,000.  San Francisco pitcher Madison Bumgarner gave up only 3 runs scattered over 8 innings.  Only one Ranger advanced as far as 2nd base in the game.

Ranger starter Tommy Hunter only made it through 4 innings, giving up 2 runs and earning the loss.  His teammates gave him no offensive support.

Only 5 teams in the past 100 years have come from 3-1 down to win the World Series.

Texas will send Cliff Lee to the mound in Game 5 as they try to stay alive in the Series.
