Rangers Pull Even With Rays In ALDS

The Texas Rangers evened the ALDS series against the Tampa Bay Rays with an 8-6 victory Saturday night at the Ballpark in Arlington.

Despite a rough start, Derek Holland gets the win despite giving up 3 early runs.  Holland finished with 5 innings, allowing 6 hits.  Neftali Feliz is credited with the save.  Darren Oliver and Mike Adams each pitched a scoreless inning.  Reliever Yoshi Uehara faced 3 batters in the 7th inning, with all 3 scoring.

At the plate, the Rangers pounded out 10 hits. Ian Kinsler, Michael Young, and Chris Napoli each had 2 hits.  First baseman Mitch Moreland hit the Rangers only home run, a solo shot in the 8th inning to give the Rangers some breathing room.

With the series tied at 1-1,  Texas will travel to Tampa Bay for Game 3 on Monday.
