Rangers win over White Sox

The Texas Rangers bounced back from an early morning loss to defeat the Chicago White Sox 2-1 Wednesday afternoon at the Ballpark in Arlington.

Texas starting pitcher C.J. Wilson gave up just 1 run  in 6 1/3 innings of work.  Mark Lowe and Darren Oliver each had to pitch out of tight spots before turning it over to Neftali Feliz to close out the game.  Feliz walked 2 straight batters, then settled down and finished off the White Sox for his 10th save of the season.

The Rangers offense did not help, only getting 3 hits in the game.  Texas scored their only runs in the bottom of the 3rd.  David Murphy reached base on an error and advanced to 3rd on Yorvit Torrealba’s ground rule double.  Murphy scores and Torrealba moves to 3rd on Mitch Moreland’s sacrifice.  Ian Kinsler scores Torrealba with a single.

The win puts the Rangers a game ahead of the Angels in the AL West.  Texas will get a day off before hosting the Royals on Friday.
