Rangers roll over Rays

The Texas Rangers revived offense continues to put up points as the Rangers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 11-5 on Monday. 

The Rangers got 20 hits in the game, almost half for extra bases, 4 home runs, and 5 doubles.  Mike Napoli hit 2 home runs as he led 7 Rangers with multiple hits.  Endy Chavez and Mitch Moreland each hit solo home runs as well.  It is the third straight game the Rangers have hit 4 or more home runs.

Derek Holland gets the win, despite giving up 5 runs in just 5 2/3 innings.   Holland improves to 4-1 on the year.

Texas remains 1 game ahead of the Angels in the AL West.  It is the Rangers’ 6th win in 8 games. 

The Rangers will play again in Tampa Bay tonight.
