Briscoe on pole for 2010 Firestone 550k

Ryan Briscoe sits on the pole position for tomorrow’s IZOD IndyCar Series Firestone 550k at Texas Motor Speedway.

Briscoe will share the front row with Indy 500 winner Dario Franchitti, just ahead of Penske teamate and series points leader, Will Power.  This is Briscoe’s second pole of 2010 and first at Texas.

3-time Texas winner Helio Castroneves will start 5th, alongside Alex Lloyd of Dale Coyne Racing. 

Danica Patrick qualified in the 8th spot.

The Firestone 550k will start at 7:30pm Saturday night.
