Four-time major champion Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from The Northern Trust this week at TPC Boston, a move that ends his 2019-2020 PGA TOUR season.

Koepka currently sits at No. 97 in the FedEx Cup standings, meaning he is not in the field for next week’s BMW Championship that features the top 70 in the standings after this week’s Northern Trust.

Koepka has dealt with a knee injury for roughly a year and had a procedure on the knee following last year’s TOUR Championship.

The No. 7 player in the world rankings has played six consecutive weeks in an attempt to improve his FedEx Cup standings and in spite of contending in the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational and PGA Championship, it was not enough to catch up from time he missed earlier this season due to the knee injury.

Expect for Koepka to play next at the U.S. Open at Winged Foot in September.
