Texas Rangers’ pitcher Scott Feldman earned his 2nd straight win Thursday night as the Rangers defeated the Oakland A’s 7-6 at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

Feldman gave up 3 home runs in the first 3 innings, but was bailed out by a 4-run fifth inning for Texas.

The Rangers sent 10 batters to the plate in the 5th inning, and the ball never made it out of the infield for the first 7. Two infield hits and 3 walks set the stage for David Murphy to again make a big play.  Murphy hit the only ball to the outfield and added 2 runs to his RBI total.  The A’s needed 3 pitchers to get through the inning.

Ian Kinsler had a 4-hit game, and scored 3 of the Texas runs.

Tanner Scheppers, Robbie Ross, and Mike Adams combined to hold Oakland until Joe Nathan finally finished them off with his 18th save of the year.

The Rangers will host the A’s again tonight at the Ballpark.  First pitch is at 7:05pm with Matt Harrison on the mound for Texas.
