FORT WORTH, Texas – Springtown’s Charles Carey remained unbeaten on the season as he won again in Week 3 of Friday Night Drags presented by Scion at Texas Motor Speedway.

Carey, driving a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500, defeated North Richland Hills’ Carrie Carney in the final for his third win and a commanding championship lead in the Black Smoke Warriors Division at the midpoint of the season.

Carey, however, wasn’t the only driver to emerge from Week 3 with a victory and the top spot in the division championship standings.

Haltom City’s Jesse Cecetas, driving a 2004 Honda S200, earned his first win of the season to move atop the championship standings in the Tuner Division while Southlake’s Dane Hobbs won for the second week in a row in his 2012 Ford Mustang to maintain the lead in the Sportsman Division.

Other Week 3 winners were Fort Worth’s Daniel Bernardino (2010 Mitsubishi Evo) in the Street Bandit Division, Mansfield’s Travis Franklin (2013 Shelby) in the Supercars Division and Fort Worth’s Jason Lucas (2012 Nissan Jotech GTR) in the Street Outlaw Division.

The championship leaders in those three divisions are Lantana’s Travis Simpson (2006 Mitsubishi Evo 9) in Street Bandit, Trophy Club’s Adam Gerety (2010 Chevrolet Camaro) in Supercars and Flower Mound’s Will Wortman (2004 Subaru Impreza) in Street Outlaw.
