Harris Steals Show In Cowboys Win

The Dallas Cowboys have plenty to be happy about after their 20-19 win in the dress-rehearsal game against the St Louis Rams Saturday night in Arlington.

Quarterback Tony Romo amassed a 151.4 quarterback rating in one quarter of play.  Romo completed 9 of 13 passes for 198 yards and 2 touchdowns.  All without his top three receivers.  Dez Bryant, Miles Austin, and Jason Witten were all out with injury.

Dwayne Harris stole the show by catching 3 passes for 118 yards.  Harris scored two touchdowns, including a 61 yard strike from Romo for the Cowboys first touchdown.

Kevin Ogletree was the primary Dallas target, catching 5 passes for 75 yards.  Cole Beasley grabbed all 3 passes thrown his way, including a one-handed catch along the sideline.

Felix Jones and DeMarco Murray each averaged over 5 yards per carry during the first half.  Dallas jumped out to a 20-6 halftime lead and had over 300 yards total offense in the half.

The first-team defense again held the opponent to no touchdowns and held the Rams to only 1 of 7 third down conversions.

The second half was a different story as the Dallas backup offensive lines could not get any push.  Quarterback Stephen McGee and Rudy Carpenter were on the run almost every time they dropped back.

The Cowboys let the Rams back into the game in the second half, but a missed extra point doomed the Rams.

Dallas has a short turnaround before hosting the Dolphins in the preseason finale on Wednesday night at Cowboys Stadium.
