NASCAR places Edwards on probation

NASCAR President Mike Helton announced that Carl Edwards, driver of the #99 Roush-Fenway car, will be placed on probation for the next 3 races.  During the March 7 race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Edwards was found to be in violation of Section 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing – aggressive driving) of the NASCAR rule book.  Edwards intentionally bumped Brad Keselowski during the race, causing Keselowski to lose control, get airborne, and flip.  Keselowski had bumped Edwards earlier in the race, causing him to wreck.  Helton called the action unacceptable.  Edwards was also parked immediately after the incident.
