Texas Rangers pitcher Roy Oswalt got his 3rd minor league tune-up start on Tuesday night in Frisco.  Oswalt pitched 3 1/3 innings, giving up 3 runs on 5 hits while striking out 3.

Oswalt may have been the biggest name on the field at Dr. Pepper Ballpark, but the action went well beyond his playing time.  The RoughRiders pulled out a 5-4 win after 14 innings against the Midland RockHounds.  Ryan Strausborger scored the winning run from 2nd base on a single by catcher Jose Felix.

With the game tied at 4-4, both teams struggled at the plate.  Frisco went 9 innings without a score until Strausborger crossed the plate to win the game.

Calos Pimentel is credited with the win, his 6th of the season.

The RoughRiders won’t get much time to rest or celebrate as they finish the series against Midland Wednesday morning at 11:05am at Dr. Pepper Ballpark.
