Race weekend begins at Texas Motor Speedway

Fort Worth – The NASCAR triple header has begun with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on the track. 

Matt Crafton will be on the pole for the WinStar World Casino 350k on Friday night.  Crafton had a lap of 29.964 seconds for a speed of 180.216 mph.  This is the 2nd consecutive Texas race with Crafton on the pole.

The NASCAR Nationwide Series will run the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge on Saturday.  Kyle Busch will attempt to win his 6th consecutive race at Texas.

On Sunday, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series makes it’s 8th race in the Chase for the Cup.  This is the closest Chase ever with just 38 points separating the top 3 drivers.  Jimmie Johnson will try to hold on to his lead, with Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick hot on his tail.
