Rangers Announce Fundraising Efforts To Assist In Texas Wildfire Relief

Arlington, TX-The Texas Rangers today announced several initiatives to assist the victims of the devastating Texas wildfires this summer.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the citizens of Texas who have been affected by the wildfires that have ravaged our State over the last several months,” commented Rangers CEO and President Nolan Ryan. “We encourage all of our fans to do what they can to assist in these fundraising efforts.”

The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation will make a monetary contribution to the American Red Cross to aid Texas Wildfire Relief.

In addition, fans can assist the Rangers Foundation in helping those individuals who have been affected by the wildfires.

While the 2010 American League Champion Ring Raffle is over, fans have one last opportunity to take home a piece of history. The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation will auction off one sample ring that is a mock up of the 2010 American League Champion Ring. The ring, which is made of sterling silver and cubic zirconias features FOUNDATION on the side and is valued at $750. Proceeds from the ring auction will go directly to the American Red Cross to assist with wildfire relief efforts in Texas.

The Ring Auction will take place on Sunday, September 25, when the Rangers play their final regular season home game against the Seattle Mariners at 2:05 p.m. Bids will be taken at the Rangers Foundation Auction Kiosk, which is located on the main concourse behind home plate at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington from the time the gates open at 12:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.

The Rangers Foundation will also accept monetary contributions for the American Red Cross to aid Texas Wildfire Relief at the Foundation Auction Kiosk during the final three-game homestand of the regular season, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, September 23-25.
