Rangers Beat Mariners On Memorial Day

Texas Rangers pitcher Matt Harrison put together one of the best games of the year as the Rangers beat the Seattle Mariners 4-2 on Memorial Day in Arlington.
Harrison went 8 innings, giving up just 2 runs on 7 hits. He struck out 5 and did not give up any base on balls. Harrison improved his record to 6-3 on the season. Joe Nathan earned his 11th save.
Nelson Cruz hit a solo home run for the Rangers in the 2nd inning off former Ranger Kevin Millwood. Mike Napoli hit a 3-run shot in the 6th inning. It was Napoli’s 2nd home run in 2 days.
Texas totaled 7 hits in the game.
The Rangers, 31-18, will host the Mariners again Tuesday night at the Ballpark. First pitch is slated for 7:05pm. Scott Feldman will take the mound for Texas, against Jason Vargas.
