Rangers Complete Sweep Of Astros

The Texas Rangers completed a season sweep of the Houston Astros with a 9-3 victory at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
Colby Lewis earns the win for Texas, giving up just 1 run in 7 innings. Lewis struck out 10 while allowing 3 hits. It is Lewis’ 6th win of the year against 5 losses.
The Rangers scored 7 runs in the 6th inning, kicked off by Ian Kinsler’s bases loaded triple. Michael Young then hit a single with 2 RBI, followed by an Adrian Beltre home run. In all, the Rangers sent 11 batters to the plate in the inning.
Texas scored a run in each of the 7th and 8th innings to seal the game.
Texas (40-27) will put Matt Harrison on the mound Monday night as they open a road series in San Diego.
