Rangers lose to Rays 5-4

The Texas Rangers fell to the Tampa Bay Rays 5-4 Tuesday night in Tampa.  The Rangers took the lead 3 times in the game, but each time the Rays would come back in the bottom of the inning.  Finally, in the bottom of the 8th, Evan Longoria hits a 2-run homer to win the game for the Rays.

C.J. Wilson started for the Rangers, going 6 2/3 innings in the non-decision, giving up 3 runs.  Arthur Rhodes is credited with a blown save and the loss after he gives up the 2 runs in the 8th.

The Rangers offense finally game back to earth, only making 7 hits, no home runs.  Michael Young had 2 hits, the only Ranger with multiple hits.  As a team, the Rangers stranded 21 runners on base.

The Rangers and Rays will meet again Wednesday afternoon.
