Rangers Lose To Royals 7-4

The Texas Rangers lost for the 2nd straight night at home to the Kansas City Royals. The Royals jumped out to an insurmountable 6-0 lead after just 3 innings. Rangers pitcher Colby Lewis hurt himself in the field with 2 throwing errors as Kansas City rolled to the 7-4 win.
Only 2 of the 7 runs against Lewis were earned. The other 5 were the result of the errors. Lewis went 5 2/3 innings, giving up 8 hits while striking out 7.
The Rangers fought back into the game, getting 8 hits, including a 9th inning home run by Brandon Snyder, who was pinch-hitting for Mitch Moreland.
Josh Hamilton extended his hitting streak to 15 games with a single in the 4th inning.
Texas (23-14) will continue their homestand Wednesday night against Oakland.
