Rangers lose to Yankees

The Texas Rangers were hoping to get some life by returning home to Arlington after a dismal road trip.  The New York Yankees had other ideas as they defeated the Rangers 4-1 before a packed house at the Ballpark.

Texas starting pitcher Matt Harrison started shaky, quickly falling behind 3-0 before finding his zone.  Harrison only gave up 1 more hit and no additional runs through the 6th inning.  Reliever Ryan Tucker gave up a home run in the 7th inning to finish the Yankee scoring.

The Rangers were never a threat offensively, though they did manage to get a run in the 8th.  Texas could only muster 3 hits during the entire game.

The Rangers drop to 17-16 on the season.  They host the Yankees again Saturday night.
