Rangers win streak ends against Cubs

The Texas Rangers’ five game winning streak came to an end after a 10-inning loss to the Chicago Cubs.

Texas got a good effort by their starting pitcher, Derek Holland, who went 6 innings, giving up just 2 earned runs.  The relievers were perfect until the 10th inning, when Darren O’Day gave up 3 hits and two runs before he was pulled without getting any batters out.

The Rangers Nelson Cruz and Vladimir Guerrero each had 2 hits, including a home run each.

Texas remains in 1st place in the AL West.
