Rocket Mortgage Classic Featured Groups Announced
The Rocket Mortgage Classic is the fourth PGA TOUR event back from the pause that began on March 12th with the cancellation of the Players Championship. While the field is not as loaded with big names as the previous three weeks, there are six of the top 20 headlined by Webb Simpson, Bryson DeChambeau, Jason Day and Rickie Fowler.
Eight events remain before the start of the FedExCup Playoffs, with the TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta crowning the FedExCup champion over Labor Day weekend.
The PGA TOUR announced the four featured groups for Thursday-Friday rounds:
— Bryson DeChambeau, Patrick Reed and Hideki Matsuyama
— Bubba Watson, Jason Day and Brendon Todd
— Rickie Fowler, Webb Simpson and defending champion Nate Lashley
— Brandt Snedeker, Tyrrell Hatton and Sungjae Im
