Rough Inning Leads To Loss For RoughRiders

The Frisco RoughRiders gave up 6 runs in the bottom of the 8th inning to fall at Midland 7-1. Midland sent 11 batters to the plate in the 8th inning against 3 Frisco pitchers. During the inning, Frisco gave up 3 hits, 5 walks, and a wild pitch.
Not all the RoughRider pitchers had a bad day, starter Jacob Brigham went 6 innings, allowing just 1 run while striking out 8. Relievers Fabio Castillo, Corey Young, and Trevor Hurley each allowed runs in the 8th. Castillo is credited for the loss.
Frisco did not get a hit until the 4th inning, when Chris McGuiness, Ryan Strausborger, and Val Majewski all singled. McGuiness scored the only Frisco run.
The RoughRiders and RockHounds conclude their 4-game series today in Midland.
Frisco returns home for a series against San Antonio on Friday.
