RoughRiders Finish Midland Series With Win

The Frisco RoughRiders ended their 4-game series against the Midland Rockhounds with a 9-3 victory Tuesday at Dr Pepper Ballpark.  The RoughRiders won the series 3 games to 1.

Starting pitcher Carlos Pimentel earned the win, moving him to 3-2 on the year.  Pimentel pitched 5 innings, giving up 1 run on 2 hits while striking out 3.  Relievers Fabio Castillo and Corey Young each gave up a run.  Joe Ortiz and Trevor Hurley each pitched less than an inning, neither allowing a Midland score.

8 of 9 Frisco batters got hits in the game, which saw the RoughRiders score multiple runs in 4 different innings.  Chris McGuiness and Alex Buchholz hit back to back home runs in the 7th inning.

Frisco travels to Corpus Christi to begin a series on Thursday night.
