The Frisco RoughRiders lost to the Corpus Christi Hooks 4-2 Friday night at Whataburger Field.
The RoughRiders played from behind most of the game, after Jair Fernandez hit a 2-run homer off Jacob Brigham in the 3rd inning.
Frisco would battle back, with Jurickson Profar getting a solo home run in the 6th inning and then scoring Engel Beltre with a sacrifice fly in the 8th inning to tie the game.
Frisco’s fortune would quickly go south, as 2 errors in the bottom of the 8th would put the Hooks up for good.
Brigham would finish with 7 inning pitched, allowing 2 earned runs on 5 hits, with 5 strikeouts. Wilfredo Boscan got tagged with the loss, despite giving up just 1 hit and no earned runs in 1/3 inning.
Game 3 of the 4-game series is tonight at 7:05 pm in Corpus Christi.
