Tonight is week 3 of the Thursday Night Summer Stampede racing series at Texas Motor Speedway. This 10-night series features drivers of all ages competing in 7 classes: Bandolero Bandits (8-12 years old), Bandolero Outlaws (12 and up), Thunder Roadster (16 and up), Legends Young Lions (12-16), Legends Semi-Pro (16-40), Legends Masters (Over 40), and Legends Pro.
Current leaders in points after 2 events are:
Bandolero Bandits – Emery Potts, Michael Meek and Zack King with 188 points each
Bandolero Outlaws – David Walsh III with 176 points
Legends Young Lions – T.J. Michael with 197 points
Legends Semi-Pro – J. Alston with 179 points
Legends Masters – Buddy Goudy with 200 points
Legends Pro – Derek Shuemaker and Zachary Hausler with 197 points.
Gates open at 6:30pm with practice from 7-7:45pm. Races begin at 8:05pm. Tickets are $5, with free admission for children 5 and under. The speedway will be hosting fireworks tonight.
