Shuffle in lineup leads to Rangers win

Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington is tired of losing.  That’s why he decided to shuffle the order around and ignite a spark in his players.  His plan worked, as the Rangers offense came to life in a 7-2 victory over the Oakland A’s.

The Rangers’ hottest hitter, Julio Borbon moved from the 9th spot to leadoff and extened his hitting streak to 10 games.  Ian Kinsler moved from leadoff to third and reached base 3 times.  Michael Young moved into the cleanup spot and went 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs.   Adrian Beltre, in the 6th spot, hit a 2-run homer.

Texas got a quality start by pitcher Colby Lewis, who had struggled of late.  Lewis went 7 1/3 innings, allowing just 5 hits.

The Rangers will try to close out the series with a win this afternoon at the Ballpark in Arlington.
