TCU Defeats Delaware State

Forward Karviar Shepherd recorded 15 points and a career-high 19 rebounds to lead TCU to a 75-47 victory over visiting Delaware State on Monday at Schollmaier Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

Guards Malique Trent and Chauncey Collins scored 12 points apiece for the Horned Frogs (8-4), who have won four straight games. Guard Brandon Parrish had 10 points.

Guard Dana Raysor scored 17 points for Delaware State (0-13). Freshman guard Devin Morgan Jr. added 11 points.

The teams traded leads over the first 11 minutes until Trent made a 3-pointer to put TCU up 22-19. The Horned Frogs ended the half with a 7-1 run to take a 26-20 lead into the break.

TCU carried that momentum into the second half, outscoring the Hornets 10-0 over the first 3:12 to take a 36-20 lead. The Horned Frogs mounted another 10-0 run moments later to go up 46-23 and staged a subsequent 12-0 run to take an insurmountable 63-30 lead with less than eight minutes remaining.
