TCU Routs New Mexico

The TCU Horned Frogs celebrated homecoming with a 69-0 rout of the New Mexico Lobos.  It is the 20th consecutive Mountain West victory for TCU, who will be leaving the conference to join the Big 12 next season.  The 69 points scored is a single-game record for TCU, breaking the old mark of 68 set in 1932.  Nine different players scored the ten touchdowns for the Horned Frogs.

TCU kicker Ross Evans became the Mountain West Conference’s all-time leading scorer.  Evans finished the game with 365 career points.

Quarterback Casey Pachall was 13 of 17 for 175 yards and 2 touchdowns. Two backup quarterbacks saw action for TCU with each scoring rushing touchdowns.

TCU gained 264 yards on the ground and 251 passing.  They were 8 of 11 on third down conversions.  There was not a single 100-yard rusher or receiver in the game.

The Horned Frogs improve to 5-2 on the season, 3-0 in the Mountain West.  New Mexico is still looking for it’s first victory.
