The TCU Horned Frogs clinched at least a share of its third consecutive Mountain West championship. It’s the first time in school history the Horned Frogs have won conference titles in three consecutive seasons. It’s the fifth conference championship in 11 years under head coach Gary Patterson. TCU can win the outright MW title in its next game, Dec. 3 at home versus UNLV.

TCU extended its Mountain West records for consecutive league wins overall (23) and at home (16).  The Horned Frogs won at home for the 25th time in their last 26 games while improving to 55-7 under Patterson at Amon G. Carter Stadium.

Waymon James posted his team-best third 100-yard game of the season with 108 yards on 15 carries. It was his fourth career 100-yard effort. With 10 carries for 94 yards, Matthew Tucker went over the 2,000 career mark in rushing yards. He’s now at 2,014.  Tucker’s 5-yard fourth-quarter scoring run was his team-best 10th rushing touchdown of the season and 25th of his career. He ranks sixth all-time in rushing touchdowns at TCU.

TCU quarterback Casey Pachall went 13 of 20 for 117 yards.

Tank Carder’s 69-yard interception return for a touchdown was his second pick returned for a score this season. He also had a 26-yard interception return for a touchdown versus Portland State. It’s Carder’s third career pick for a score. He returned an interception 15 yards for a touchdown versus Utah in 2009. Carder’s 69-yard interception return for a touchdown was TCU’s longest pick returned for a score since Quincy Butler went 99 yards against Southern Miss on Nov. 20, 2004. Carder tied a season-high with a team-best nine tackles, including one for loss.
