TCU fought hard in the second to even the match at one and the effort paid off in a 25-21 victory. UNLV controlled the set early, pushing its lead to four, 13-9, before the Frogs called a timeout and began the comeback.

Following the break, Hester put the Frogs back on the offensive with a kill. TCU propelled the blast into a 9-4 run that put the Frogs on top 18-17. Maddy Brown dropped in two kills and Holland fired off a pair of her own to aid in the rally. Holland broke a 21-all tie and a hustle play gave the Frogs set point. A Rebel attacking error locked up the 25-21 win.

A tight third set saw both teams battle to a 16-16 tie. Neither team led by more than two as the teams fought for the 2-1 match lead. Holland and Hester knocked down kills, while both paired with Igodan and Burleson on blocks to highlight the Frogs early push.
