Texas Rangers announce pre-game ceremonies for Game 6

Arlington, Texas-The Texas Rangers today announced details for the pre-game ceremonies prior to Game 6 of the 2010 American League Championship Series on Friday, October 22 at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

Approximately 500 obstructed view seats and standing room tickets remain for Friday’s 7:07 p.m. game. The ticket availability for Game 7 (if necessary) on Saturday, October 23 at 7:07 p.m. is approximately 2000 obstructed view seats and standing room tickets.

Rangers Hall of Famer and current television announcer Tom Grieve, who has spent nearly 43 of his 44 years in professional baseball with the Washington/Texas franchise, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch tomorrow night. Oscar-winning pop artist and Arlington, Texas resident BJ Thomas will sing the Star Spangled Banner.

God Bless America will be performed during the seventh inning stretch by 2010 Miss Texas Ashley Melnick. The colors will be presented by the United States Marines Corps. A flyover of four F-18’s from the VMFA-112 Marines Corps Unit follows the National Anthem.

The first 45,000 fans will receive Rangers Red Poms Poms, compliments of Topps.

The Rangers Ballpark in Arlington parking lots will open five hours before the start of Game 6 with the Ballpark gates opening three hours prior to first pitch. In addition to the Rangers normal parking lots, the Cowboys Stadium Parking Lots 4 and 13, located at the corner of Randol Mill Road and Legends Way, will be open for cash parking. All cash parking for ALCS games is priced at $10.00.

The HOV lanes on Interstate I-30 will operate with the following hours on Friday: Westbound towards Arlington – 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastbound towards Dallas – 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight or until traffic subsidies
