Wagnon Takes Four Wins With the CMRA at MotorSport Ranch

{fshare id=2694}

Derek Wagnon went four for four at the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association round four held at MotorSport Ranch in Cresson, Texas this past Sunday. Temperatures in the low 100’s couldn’t keep Wagnon from taking his Dunlop-shod Houston Superbikes Ducati 848EVO to an impressive four wins in B Superstock, B Superbike, Island Racing Services C Superbike, and Heavyweight Twins. Wagnon had this to say,” Heavyweight Twins was my best race because it’s really gratifying to win a large bike class with a smaller bike. It really shows how well the Ducati 848EVO is capable of performing. My other races went really well too. The tires felt great, Houston Superbikes got the set up really dialed in and there was no drama. I couldn’t do this without the help and support of my sponsors: Houston Superbikes, RaceworX, Dunlop tires, Akrapovic, Aprilia Racing, Whoopie Cycles, Alpinestars, and my mom, dad, and mechanic Cory for all their help and hard work.”

Other top finishers for the weekend: for the heavyweights, Ty Howard walked away with three wins in RaceworX A Superstock, 212Decals.com A Superbike, and Formula 1 on his KTM RC8. For the lightweights, Darrell Ricks on a Suzuki SV650 would take three wins in Formula 2 Expert, D Superbike Expert, and Lightweight Twins Expert.

Top Novices from the weekend: Andy Gilliland on a Suzuki SV650 with four wins in Road & Track Suspension Formula 2 Novice, Lightweight Twins Novice, OnRoad OffRoad Suspension D Superstock Novice, and Fastline Motorcycle School D Superbike Novice. Will Zamora took his Yamaha YZF-R1 to three wins in OnRoad OffRoad Suspension A Superstock Novice, A Superbike Novice, and Road & Track Suspension Formula 1 Novice.

The CMRA wishes to express sincere gratitude to all of our class and contingency sponsors, service vendors, race day staff, corner workers, racers, crew, family and friends. It is with their support that we can continue to provide successful race weekends for one and all.
