The Workday Charity Open is the fifth PGA TOUR event back from the pause that began on March 12th with the cancellation of the Players Championship. It is a one-time only event taking the place of the cancelled John Deere Classic and will be contested at Muirfield Village Golf Club. The John Deere Classic will return to the PGA TOUR schedule in 2021.
Seven events remain before the start of the FedExCup Playoffs, with the TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta crowning the FedExCup champion over Labor Day weekend.
The PGA TOUR announced the four featured groups for Thursday-Friday rounds:
— Justin Thomas, Brooks Koepka, Jason Day
— Patrick Cantlay, Phil Mickelson, Jordan Spieth
— Patrick Reed, Matthew Wolff, Rickie Fowler
— Viktor Hovland, Jon Rahm, Gary Woodland
