Lone American Left In Semis At yp Challenger of Dallas
One American remains in the draw at the $100,000.00 yp Challenger of Dallas. Jesse Levine defeated Carsten Ball to advance to the semi-final round of the tournament, held at T Bar M Racquet Club in Dallas. Levine will face Stefane Seifert of Germany in the prime-time match tonight. Seifert ousted American Denis Kudla to advance to the semifinal round.
The other semi will feature No. 2 seed Steve Darcis against No. 6 Izak Van der Merwe. Darcis knocked out No. 8 Ricardas Berankis in a tough quarterfinal match while Van der Merwe dispatched qualifier Clement Reix.
The yp Challenger of Dallas is the largest pro men’s tennis event in North Texas hosted at TBarM Club and is rated one of the top circuit stops by the USTA. The USTA Pro Circuit is the pathway to the US Open and tour-level competition for aspiring tennis players, as well as a platform for established professionals. Maria Sharapova, Andy Roddick, James Blake and Andy Murray are among today’s top players who began their professional careers on the USTA Pro Circuit. The USTA Pro Circuit is world class tennis administered on the local level and played on local courts as part of the fabric of communities nationwide.
