Fritz and Shelton join World No. 12 Casper Ruud as committed players for the 2026 Dallas Open, scheduled for February 7-15, 2026, at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, the headquarters and training facility of the Dallas Cowboys. Fritz, the top-ranked American in the world, was a finalist at Wimbledon this year and was a U.S. Open finalist in 2024. The 27-year old is a 10-time winner on the ATP Tour including two titles in 2025, and currently leads the ATP Tour in aces and first serve points won (by percentage) this year.

“I really enjoyed being in Dallas at the new venue this year, and I’m excited to be back again next year.” Fritz said. “The fans bring incredible energy and any time I can play in the U.S. I’m going to take that opportunity. The fans are amazing and it really feels like home court advantage with all the support we receive.”

Shelton, the second-highest ranked American in the world, has played in the Dallas Open in each of the last two years, reaching the semifinals in 2024. Last year, the 22-year old reached the Round of 16. Shelton is a three-time winner on the ATP Tour – including one title in 2025 (Toronto) and a two-time Grand Slam semifinalist, including this year’s Australian Open.

“Having three premier players like Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, and Casper Ruud return to North Texas is an incredible opportunity for our fans and for the Dallas Open,” said Peter Lebedevs, Dallas Open Tournament Director. “Taylor has been a mainstay in the top ten, Ben continues to establish himself as one of the most dynamic young stars on tour reaching the top 10 this year, and Casper has already proven he can succeed at this event. Fans can look forward to world-class tennis from the deepest field in our tournament’s history as we return to The Star, a truly first-class venue.”

Rudd, the 2025 Dallas Open runner-up, is a 13-time winner on the ATP Tour, including one title in 2025 (Madrid). Former world No. 2 (September 2022), Rudd is the highest-ranked Norwegian in the sport’s history. The runner-up at the 2022 and 2023 French Open and the 2022 U.S. Open will be playing in his second Dallas Open.

The Dallas Open will be one of 16 global events at the 500-level and one of only two in the United States. The Dallas Open will continue its tradition of awarding the top male tennis player at SMU with a singles main draw wildcard. New this year, four doubles pairings representing multiple Texas universities will compete in a separate Collegiate Doubles qualifying event on Saturday, February 7, for a spot in the doubles Main Draw.
