The Grand Prairie AirHogs lost the opener of a four-game set Monday with the Trois-Rivieres Aigles of the CanAm Association by a score of 3-1.

Picking up his third loss of the year was left-hander Shawn Spainhoward, despite giving up just three runs on seven hits in six innings of work. Thomas Keeling and Dustin Cameron each came in from the bullpen to combine for three scoreless innings in relief.

The bats couldn’t wake up for Grand Prairie as the ‘Hogs only grabbed only six hits in this game. Shortstop Jimmy Mojica scored the AirHogs lone run in the first inning on an RBI single by Jason Botts.

The ‘Hogs fall to 8-10 on the year and will meet Trois-Rivieres again Tuesday night at 7:05 p.m. at QuikTrip Park.
