Allen Americans Lose In Wichita

Wichita, KANSAS – The Allen Americans playing their 4th game in five nights drop one to the Wichita by a 3-1 score ending Allen’s eight game winning streak.

The Americans open in the scoring in the first with a goal from Trevor Ludwig, who netted his third of the season from Aaron Gens and Jamie Schaafsma. Allen held a 12-9 advantage in shots after 1 period.

The Thunder would grab the lead in the second period on back to back goals from Kenton Miller, his team leading 7th of the season, and Erick Lizon his 4th. The shots were even at 13 a piece after forty minutes of play with the Americans needing to do some work in the third to extend their winning streak.

Wichita added one more in the third and held on for the victory, despite being outshot by Allen 34-30 for the game.

The Americans are back on the road on Tuesday night in Tulsa against the Oilers at 7:05 pm with the same two teams meeting Wednesday, December 3rd at Allen Event Center. Tickets for that game are on sale at www.ticketmaster.com or call (972) 912-1000.
