Allen Americans Lose To Quad City

After coming home from a 6-5 comeback shootout victory against the Wichita Thunder, the Allen Americans came back home to their arena, the Allen Event Center and lost to the Quad City Mallards, 2-1 . Spencer Aschuak was the lone goal scorer in the loss. Riley Gill made 32 saves out of the 34 shots he faced.

The Quad City Mallards opened up the scoring in the first period with Justin Fox getting his 16th goal of the season at the 18:07 mark with Mario Lamoureux and Paxton Leroux getting the assists.

In the second period, Spencer Asuchak notted the game up at 1-1 with a nice deke that went past Parker Milner’s glove side at the 6:06 mark for his 6th goal of the season with Jesse Messier and Garrett Clarke with the assists.

In the third period, the Mallards took a 2-1 lead with Kevin Baker getting his 9th goal of the season at the 5:51 mark that went past Gill’s glove side with Justin Fox and Mario Lamoureux getting the assists.

The next game for the Allen Americans is Wednesday Night when they face the Wichita Thunder for a 7:05 puck drop.
