Allen Americans Lose To Wichita

After coming off a 5-3 win over the Ontario Reign, the Allen Americans came back to the Allen Event Center for their first ever Pucks and Paws event. They lost 5-4 in OT to the Wichita Thunder. Brett Lyon, Trevor Ludwig, Greger Hanson, and Kyle Follmer get the goals. Riley Gill made 25 saves out the 30 shots he faced in the OT loss

1st Period

34 seconds into the game and the Wichita Thunder make it 1-0 as Justin Bernhardt blasted the biscuit passed Riley Gill’s glove side for his 3rd goal of the season with RG Flath and Eric Melland getting the assists. Then Brett Lyon tied the game up at 1-1 with his 4th goal of the season at the 2:16 mark in the first period with Garrett Clarke and Nolan Descoteaux getting the assists. At the 16:03 mark in the first period, Erick Lyzon gave the Thunder a 2-1 lead with his 7th goal of the season with Nikita Kashirsky and Krill Tulupov getting the assists.

2nd Period

In the second period at the 3:56 mark, Trevor Ludwig fired one from the top of the

left circle to knot the game at 2-2 with his 5th goal of the season with Chad Costello getting the lone assists. Then Greger Hanson took a drop pass and beats Boron from the slot to make it a 3-2 for his 15th goal of the season at the 12:48 mark in the second period with Aaron Gens and Chad Costello getting the assists.

3rd Period

In the third period Justin Bernhardt got his 4th and second goal of the game at the 3:19 mark with RG Flath getting the assists to tie the game at 3-3. Then Kyle Follmer with his 7th goal of the season made it 4-3 at the 5:15 mark in the third period that was unassisted. Then Justin Bernhardt with his third goal of the game, his 5th of the season, tied the game 4-4 at the 5:43 mark in the third period with Dennis Gauthier and RG Flath getting the assist

Dennis Gauthier won the game in OT with his 18th goal of the season with Mike Wilson and Ian Lowe getting the assists.
