The Dallas Stars defeated the Calvary Flames 3-2 in overtime Thursday night at the American Airlines Center.

Adam Burish put the Stars on the scoreboard first with a snap shot in the first period, aided by Jake Dowell and Tom Wandell.  Burish is now on a two-game goal-scoring streak (2-0-2), his first such streak since February 2009 and the third overall of his career. Burish has never had a three-game goal-scoring streak. Dallas is now 10-2-0 when Burish records a goal, and nine of his 14 goals as a Dallas Star have come when the club is either down by one goal, or tied in a game.

After Calgary tied the game, the Stars regained the lead on a power play goal by Steve Ott, assisted by Mike Ribeiro.  Ribiero’s assist extends his point streak against Calgary to six games (5-7-12).

When Calgary sent the game into overtime, Ribeiro hit the game winner with an assist by Michael Ryder and Trevor Daley.  Ryder’s assist gives him points in four consecutive games and in five of his last six overall (3-2-5).  The Stars are now 7-1-0 when Ribeiro records a multi-point game.

Jamie Benn left the game in the middle of the 2nd period with a lower body injury. He is officially listed as day-to-day.

The Stars return to the ice Saturday in Phoenix.
