Dallas Stars Win In Overtime

The Dallas Stars came from two goals behind to beat the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 Wednesday night at the American Airlines Center.

Dallas was down 2-0 to start the 3rd period.  Jamie Benn closed the gap with a wrist shot, assisted by Erik Nystrom and Radek Dvorak.  Loui Eriksson tied the game in the final minute with an assist by Benn and Michael Ryder.

In overtime, Steve Ott hit the game winner, assisted by Stephane Robidas and Mike Ribeiro.

Eight different Dallas Stars recorded three-or-more shots in the game. Dallas outshot LA in the game, 38-24.

Goaltender Kari Lehtonen improved to 13-4-0 on the season. He has won two in a row and has a 2.66 goals-against-average and .942 save percentage of the last three games.

The Stars have won two in a row and improved to 13-8-0 on the season for 26 points.  Dallas has a 12-1-0 record this season when allowing two-or-fewer goals in a game. The lone loss came against the Los Angeles Kings on Oct. 22 (1-0 score) in Southern California.  Dallas is 2-0-0 when the game is decided in overtime this season. They are one of only three NHL clubs that have yet to lose a game in overtime or a shootout.
