Key matchups of the week:

Seahawks@49ers – The 49ers were embarrased by the Giants last week and will be out to re-prove themselves.  The Seahawks have allowed the 2nd fewest yards rushing in the NFL.  49ers running back Frank Gore has 2 200-yard rushing games against Seattle.  San Francisco quarterback Alex Smith has won 3 games in a row against the Seahawks.

Ravens@Texans – The Ravens have never lost a regular-season game to a team from Texas (9-0).  The Texans are seeking to start the season at 6-1 for the first time in history.  The Houston defense leads the AFC in fewest points per game (19.2)

Lions@Bears – Anything can happen in this divisional matchup, which is one of the NFL’s longest running rivalries.  The Bears will try to show they are a legitimate contender, while the Lions try to stay in the divisional race.  Detroit has a knack for keeping games interesting with 4th quarter rallies and comebacks.  Quarterback Matthew Stafford and receiver Calvin Johnson are among the most feared in the NFC.  The Bears defense is the first team in NFL history to return 5 interceptions for touchdowns in the first 5 games.  Bears punt/kick returner Devin Hester is tied with NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders for most returns for touchdowns with 19.
