Key matchups of the week:

Dolphins @ Jets – These teams are in a statistical dead heat.  The Dolphins have won 3 of the last 4 against the Jets.  The Jets are averaging over 40 points per game at home this season.  New York is coming off a tough overtime loss to the Patriots, while Miami has had the bye week to prepare.  This matchup will have a significant impact on the AFC East.

Falcons @ Eagles – Michael Vick will look to hand his former team their first loss of the season.  The Eagles need a win to stay close to the Giants in the NFC East.  Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan has a quarterback rating over 100 in his last 5 road games.  The Eagles have won 4 of the last 5 at home.

Redskins @ Steelers – Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has never lost to the Redskins.  He is 14-1 in his career against NFC teams at home.  Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III leads all NFL players with a 70.4 completion percentage, which is on pace to be the fourth-highest by any NFL player (rookies and veterans) in a single season. Griffin’s 101.8 passer rating is also on track to surpass Roethlisberger’s NFL rookie record of 98.1 in 2004. He leads all quarterbacks with 468 rushing yards and six touchdowns and aims to be the first QB in NFL history to rush for at least 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns in a single season.
