FRISCO, TEXAS – For the second straight night, the Frisco RoughRiders came from behind off a ninth-inning single by Rougned Odor to beat the Tulsa Drillers 6-5 Saturday at Dr Pepper Ballpark and clenched the season series with Tulsa. In his Double-A debut, Brett Teschener went one-for-two with a walk and a run.

Angelys Nina led off the second with a single to left and Tom Murphy doubled to left. Tulsa (27-28, 61-62) took a 3-0 lead off a two-run double by Jayson Langfels and an RBI single by Jaron Shepherd.

In the fourth, Dallas Tarleton singled to right and then Shepherd knocked his second RBI base knock of the night. Tyler Kuhn then singled in another run extending the Drillers’ lead 5-0.

Frisco (22-33, 61-64) responded in the fourth. With one out, Joe Benson singled to left and Brett Nicholas singled to center. Kalian Sams then knocked an RBI single. On the first pitch of the seventh, Sams slammed a homer to the Dr Pepper Patio in left-center field, cutting the game 5-2.

In the eighth, Brett Teschner knocked a single to right and Luis Sardinas reached on an error by Tarleton. Rougned Odor grounded out to a fielder’s choice, advancing the runners. Nicholas then shot a two-run single to right to put Frisco within one run.

In the ninth, Teodoro Martinez reached on an error by Wong and Tomas Telis singled to center with two outs. Sardinas then knocked an RBI single to right, tying the game at five. For the second straight night, Odor singled to center field for the winning RBI, putting the ‘Riders up 6-5 for the final score.

Jimmy Reyes (2-4) allowed just one hit in two innings to take the victory, while Juan Gonzalez (4-3) allowed two runs on three hits in 0.2 innings to suffer the loss and

the blown save.

The ‘Riders conclude their season series with the Tulsa Drillers and their home stand Sunday at Dr Pepper Ballpark at 6:05. Neil Ramirez (9-3, 3.73 ERA) will make the start for Frisco. Tulsa will counter with Tim Gustafson (6-9, 5.18 ERA).
