Grand Prairie AirHogs Lose Home Opener

The Grand Prairie AirHogs dropped their home opener Monday night against the Lincoln Saltdogs in 10 innings by a score of 5-3.

The AirHogs combined for 10 hits on the night, with Brandon Pinckney, Abel Nieves, Palmer Karr, and Eric Baker each grabbing 2 hits. Andres Rodriguez had an RBI sacrifice fly in the 1st, and Pinckney and Michael Hur each had RBI singles in the 6th. Grand Prairie outhit Lincoln 10-7, but could not overcome 7 fielding errors.

Ryan Searle pitched six full innnings in his first start of the season, giving up one earned run on two hits and striking out seven batters. Caesar Lopez and Dakota Watts each recorded a scoreless inning in relief.

The AirHogs fall to 1-4 on the 2014 season and will face the Saltdogs again at 10:35 a.m. Tuesday morning.
